FAQ’s & Pricing
HOW MUCH DO YOUR PUPPIES COST?
Our puppies are $2,500. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will put your name on the waitlist, and is deducted from the total price of your puppy. The remaining balance will be due on day of pick up and can be paid by cash or on our website (There may be a transaction fee from the processor when paying online.)
ARE YOUR DOGS REGISTERED?
Yes! Our dogs are registered with AKC, and your puppy will come with AKC registration papers at puppy pick up.
WILL MY PUPPY BE VACCINATED?
Yes, your puppy will be up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. You will receive vaccination and deworming records at puppy pick up.
WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP IN THE RESERVATION PROCESS?
If interested in one of our puppies please fill out the Puppy Application Form found at the top of the page. We like to speak with everyone before accepting a deposit. This gives both of us a chance to ask any questions we may have to ensure this breed is a good fit. After reviewing your interest form we will reach out within a day or two to follow up with you. After reviewing our contract then we can move forward to placing a deposit, which will reserve your spot for a puppy.
WHAT DOES THE PUPPY SELECTION LOOK LIKE?
Families choose in order of deposits received at 6 weeks old. We will give recommendations based off of temperaments of each puppy and which we think may make the best match for your family. We will do this through photos and videos, and do our best to help you choose the perfect puppy for your family. Your puppy will go home at 8 weeks old.
CAN WE COME MEET THE PUPPIES AND THEIR PARENTS?
We do not allow visits with puppies or parents until pick up day. There are a few different reasons for this. Ultimately, it is all for the safety of our dogs and our family. We want to reduce the amount of exposure as much as possible to diseases that could threaten the health of our puppies, like parvo virus. We would be happy to send photos, videos, updates and face-time videos so that you may follow along with the growth and development of your puppy.
WHAT HEALTH TESTING DO YOU DO ON YOUR DOGS?
Our Bernese parents are tested for Von Willibrands Disease and Degenerative Myelopathy types 1 & 2 and matched to guarantee our puppies will not be at risk for any of the common genetic diseases within the breed. We are working toward OFA hip certifications.
DO YOU SELL YOUR PUPPIES WITH BREEDING RIGHTS?
Our puppies are sold with limited AKC registration and are sold with the intent that they will be loving pet companions. Full AKC registration for breeding or showing will be considered with an interview on a case by case basis for an additional fee.
WHY DO YOU HAVE A SPAY/NEUTER REQUIREMENT FOR YOUR PUPPIES?
We want to protect our dogs and the breed. By requiring our dogs to be spayed/neutered then accidental litters can be prevented in the future. It is important to us that we do everything we can to keep dogs out of animal shelters.
WHAT DOES PUPPY PICK UP LOOK LIKE?
When it is time for your puppy to go to his/her new home we will plan a time for you to come to our home to meet your new family member. Your puppy's parents will also be on premises if you would like to meet them as well. At this time we will provide you with your puppy's veterinarian records, AKC registration paperwork, and a bag of puppy food.
CAN MY PUPPY BE DELIVERED?
Yes, we can look at some ground transport options for your puppy. Please let us know in the puppy interest form that you will need delivery and we can discuss during our phone interview. There will be an added transport cost that will vary based on a few factors.
